Who we are
We are the first European non-profit cultural organisation in the city of Valencia. Our goal is to foster European culture, intercultural dialogue and the idea of active European citizenship, through the organisation of innovative and creative cultural events.
We are a group of people from different European countries: all living in Valencia; all experts in cultural or European issues. We are inspired by similar initiatives in other European cities, and our motto, therefore, is to stop complaining about all the things missing in the cultural scene in Valencia, and instead take action ourselves. Thus, we created RECREATURA_arts&culture!
To get involved with RECREATURA_arts&culture, it is not necessary to be an expert in any certain field. Rather, we are looking for interested and open-minded people who can contribute their ideas and experiences. At the same time, we would like to give artists and creative-minded people the opportunity to use our association and website as platforms to present their work and exchange ideas with others.
THE TEAM
The core team of RECREATURA_arts&culture is made up of professionals from many different sectors, including contemporary art, audiovisual, the media, event management, and not to be forgotten of course, European affairs. We are all dedicated to making active European citizenship a reality in a culturally-vibrant Valencia. It is this spirit, undoubtedly, that first united the founders of RECREATURA_arts&culture.
